The Distance Learning Department at Middle Georgia College is committeed to serving both traditional and non-traditional students. We offer a wide range of online programs designed for transfer to four-year institutions, as well as others designed to prepare students for direct entry into business, industry, and other careers. Degree options include 11 academic online associate degrees and 2 certificate programs. MGC also offers a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management with tracks in Airport Management and Logistics Management. Classes are fully online (no campus attendance is required) and are offered in 8- or 16-week terms during fall and spring and 5- or 10-week terms during summer. Class sections are usually small with a maximum of 30 students. Over 90% of online instructors are full-time faculty.
Because MGC is an open access institution, there are no minimum GPA or SAT/ACT requirements, but the institution does require proof of basic skills through the Compass Exam. Middle Georgia College is a state college unit of the University System of Georgia and is fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). |
